[If there's anything that causes him irritation being in this town, it's the fact he can't just walk into the buildings that he wants to.
Maybe it's the centaur in him, accustomed to going and leaving and bolting along at breakneck speeds. And locks normally aren't a problem, either. So in the case of this particular building... well.
Archer trots around the perimeter looking for a way in, his movements casual save how his tail flicks back and forth like it's swatting invisible flies. Eventually he stops, one of his hooves grazing the cobble stones while he utters a sigh. He's just wasting his time at this point.]
[Shiro's train stop adventures were less than adventurous, so he's going around checking out the other buildings. Some open, some don't, and that's curious to him.
He'll end up reaching the planetarium just in time to see Chiron inspecting the outside. And while his first urge is to chide Chiron about being unable to fit in another building, he holds back on that for the time being. No sense in rubbing it in his face on the first day.]
It'd make sense to back it up with magic. Picking a lock like this is no trouble for me, and I imagine quite a few people here could just punch or kick in the door too.
[He's crouching down to inspect the handle and lock. He can't actually sense any magic coming off of it, but magic in his world is Weird when it comes to humans so that's not unexpected for him.]
If I had my lockpicking kit I could still try, but I'll have to dig around for tools here.
[Shiro greets him with a nod in turn. The grim look is one that seems out of place on him, and it shows off his years pretty well. Now that there's not kids around, he doesn't feel the need to force a smile.]
[More arrows to defend himself with. More ammunition to potentially put down stray dogs. He was slow to the draw last time, and Chiron doesn't feel like being caught off-guard again.]
... It is difficult for me to tell. I checked their bodies and there was no pulse.
[Folding his arms -- and then wincing some, as it pulls at swore, torn muscle]
But I am getting ahead of myself. Initially we were all together in... space. I assume a simulation of some kind, as we were able to breathe. But then Ochako and I were separated and taken to a simulation of a rocky planet where we were forced to battle two monsters.
[A pause]
We were victorious, and only suffered mild injuries. The next place was some sort of facility room, and that's where we found Soo-Won and Xie Lian, dead in two chairs. Ochako discovered two serums that supposedly would bring them back to life, albeit with... side-effects.
[Frowning now. Just guess what happened]
They were brought back to life, yes, but were murderous and had to be killed again before they took our lives.
And he is pacing outside muttering to himself, and every so often he reaches up with a hand to his mouth, but then stops and looks more annoyed before pacing some more.
Going forward, I'd say we should start pressing people earlier. We waited around for several hours while people investigated some locations, and what they found didn't even help us much. If we had spent that time more wisely, talking among ourselves and working out the clues we already had, we might've had more of a result.
And before you say it: I know "don't vote him" isn't a good answer. I'm biased when it comes to that kid, okay?
[Looking for him around town is a good idea, because he's leaning against the bridge railing and looking down at the waters. And Chiron has rather distinct footsteps, so.]
That kid really pisses me off sometimes. He's nothing like his brothers, I don't know what to think of him.
I knew some of them. I've worked with his father before, and three of his brothers were students of mine. I suppose he would have been the fourth, but the school year hasn't quite started yet.

Is that one locked too?
no subject
[He'd actually be less annoyed if he simply couldn't fit. That's a problem every centaur has to face.
But a locked door? Technically speaking, a well-placed hoof should do the trick, except he tried that yesterday and didn't see any results.]
The locks appear normal, but I suspect they're reinforced with some type of magic.

[he's spoken with a few of their fellow captors and the power range is... impressive.]
But of course, if you can find the tools, you're welcome to try. What do you need? I can make simple tools if they're wooden.

W0 || Post-Execution
But after checking in on some of the children, he will make myself visible in the town square, having settled near a wall with his tools.
He's making more arrows. Given everything that has happened, that is probably no surprise.
But he'll greet Shiro when he approaches with a nod]

I doubt the deaths will stop here.

Come salt with him, centaur dad.]

We failed rather miserably, I would conclude.

[He runs a hand through his hair in an attempt to blow off some steam. It doesn't work.]
He just wanted reassurance that we wouldn't give up on him. And then the majority did.
no subject
What would you have had the majority do with so very little time on the clock?
[His voice is mild as he speaks, but he's watching Shiro, eyebrows a little burrowed]
I am not pleased what is going to happen to that child, but we were failing. That is our burden to bear now.
