[At least this injured horse is bandaged before he goes walking about in public a few hours after returning to the village. There are no proper bandages, which means he's a patchwork of whatever could be ripped into strips, but at least he is clean and on all four of his legs.
And though Alphinaud is not someone he is familiar with, he will stop and acknowledge him with a faint nod]
Do you have questions for me? A few have already approached me for details, and I do not mind sharing my knowledge.
[ Ah yes, it's the guy who peaced out before anyone could say otherwise. As mentioned, they aren't familiar with one another, so Alphinaud didn't go after the guy. As luck would have it though, here they are, bumping into one another. ]
Oh—there you are.
[ Which seems like a strange way to begin this. ]
I confess I do, but firstly, I do hope you are faring well. Your companions had insisted your injuries were the worst out of your lot.
[Between seeing to everyone's wounds and double-checking the conditions of the injured, Chiron has not had a lot of time to look after himself. By far the most annoying injury is the shoulder, severe enough to require further stitches now that he's ripped them by accident -- and he cannot say he appreciates having his forearms clawed up, either.
And then, of course, is the matter of his own blindness, turning even a quick inspection into a lengthy process. Really, he should have just asked for someone's assistance earlier instead of acting like a mule.
Too late to go chasing someone down, however. He sighs and begins to pull out his tools while he settles in a corner of the first-aid station now that it's empty, battling back fatigue the entire while.]
[ Alphinaud is, of course, around; it goes without saying when some familiar faces return from the unknown mauled. He's on his way back out when he spots none other than: ]
[ As the trial concluded, there's one person in particular Alphinaud wants to speak with, and there's several reasons why. Of course, said person makes their immediate departure; it's a while before Alphinaud goes searching for them, but he has his hunches on where to begin.
And so, out in the forest—are those notes he hears in an otherwise quiet spot? ]
The sound of a lyre, strong-stringed but somewhat melancholy. Chiron makes no attempts to muffle his song, so if Alphinaud would like to take it as an invitation to talk...
Alphinaud doesn't know if he would hear his footsteps, so he's careful not to surprise Archer as he approaches, coming up at a few feet away to his side. He listens, and waits for a pause in his playing: ]
[Being that Alphinaud has submitted to his care already, Chiron will be lingering in the infirmary for a while -- disappearing on occasion so that Izumo and Alphinaud can have privacy as they talk, but once the former is sleeping (or just having vanished for her own pcs somehow--)]
I know you gave me a short explanation already, but if you are well enough, I would ask for more detail into what happened while you were... taken away.
[ Handwaves things. Anyway! Now that he's no longer running for his life in some memory hellscape, after a bit of rest, Alphinaud is a little less exhausted. He still wants some sleep, but...
Well, he's in his bed for the moment, at least. ]
Of course. Then, from where I left off... Indeed, there were moments where this—memory, I suppose, appeared to falter. A few of the castle servants and guests mentioned this reset in those moments, while every so often, our surroundings would... flicker to something else entirely—'twas no castle at all in those quick seconds.
There was one girl there who explained that if the king of this castle were left to their own devices, another reset would occur. [ And... a tired sigh. ] The same girl was responsible for our injuries, as well.
At the start, she assumed the form of an odd, faceless monster... But then her image became that of a girl's, and acted as if she were a guest at the castle. I know not what made her suddenly grow hostile, but Ruby and I had separated for but only a few minutes when I saw the girl attacking her.
On that Thursday, after you brought me to the infirmary, I had been healed to full. [ Alphinaud lightly pats at his chest. ] 'Tis as if I were never harmed at all, so there is no worry to be had.
w1, thursday

[He admits. bluntly. But it's said in good humor, the centaur not seeming all that upset by his injuries]
No need to be concerned, however -- I attended to my wounds and the bandages will hopefully hold up for now.
no subject
If you are certain, although, should you not be resting at the very least?
no subject
Ah... I will rest, certainly, once I am done sharing information.
[A glance to the side, like he's expecting someone to just teleport here and start nagging him]
Though if I take too long, I might be greatly chastised...

[ And he's... oh. ]
You, as well?
no subject
And here he was so certain that no one else was in the area.]
... My injuries are not a result of what transpired earlier.
[Spoken lightly as if that's the real problem here. Ha. The centaur glances over his shoulder, not that it does him much good. Still blind and all.]

There is a sigh, but no complaints to speak of. The centaur nods him over]
Very well. Do you any skill with stitching a wound?

Well, he will find the centaur easily enough.]

Pray pardon my interruption.

[Lowering the lyre because -- yes, he did hear the footsteps, even if the branches and foliage tried to mute them from Archer's ears.
His sightless eyes glance up, quiet]
You wish to speak with me?

[ Alphinaud pauses, briefly, as if considering his words. ]

He will find Alphinaud for the purpose of checking/fussing over him like a doctor, smiling all the while]
How do you feel?
no subject
Alphinaud isn't difficult to find, especially since he isn't on the move. Dizziness will do that to ya, as well exhaustion. ]
Would that I could say any better than yesterday... But no worse, I suppose. I am hale and whole, otherwise.
no subject
[Chiron just lets the words flow out of him without thought, careful not to focus on them too much. Elsewise he starts wondering, and then he --
A pause. He shakes his head, brows knitted. No, don't think too much]
